  • How short or long can I stay at a Rent Right property?
    • The minimum stay is 30 days and the maximum can be as long as you would like.  Most of our leases can be renewed on a month-to-month basis.  So, if you need more time to stay just let your property manager know and this is easy to arrange.
  • Is Rent Right like a short-term rental?
    • We do pride ourselves on the ease and comfort of booking a property that is ready for move in.  Our properties are fully furnished and stocked with the basic essentials that you will need to move in and be comfortable.  Things like kitchen utensils, pots, toilet paper, towels, etc. are all provided for your move in.  We differ in that you need to stay for a minimum of 30 days and its up to the tenant to purchase anything you may want beyond these basics.
  • Do I need to pay a deposit and when will I get it back after I leave the property?
    • Yes, all properties require a refundable deposit to be paid.  After your stay the property is inspected by a property manager and assessed per the last move in inspection.  Each property is documented with photos and/or video for accuracy.  Should there be any additional damage or extra cleaning that is not covered or deemed as basic usage, these costs will be taken from the deposit.  You will get a full breakdown of any costs that are assessed when your deposit is returned to you.  The deposit will be returned to you no more than 30 days after you surrender the property, often times it is much sooner than this.
  • Are utilities included in the monthly price?
    • Yes! All utilities including high speed internet are included in the monthly price.  No need to transfer accounts or keep track of paying separate bills, its all taken care of by the property manager.  Every property does have standard high-speed internet, but if you need ultra or extra high-speed this can be arranged by upgrading your plan, this cost will be paid by the tenant, just ask your property manager.
  • Can I tour the property before renting?
    • This is possible based on the availability of the specific property.  If the property is currently occupied by a tenant, we do not offer walk throughs or visits.  As well if the property is rented, we won’t share the exact address to preserve the privacy of the current tenant.
  • Does Rent Right own all the properties on the site?
    • No, Rent Right is an agency that helps tenants find furnished rentals for flexible long-term stays.  We work with property managers and owners to help bring everyone together.
  • Can I sublet the property or have guests stay with me?
    • No, subletting is absolutely not allowed.  Also, if there are any extra guests that stay at the property more than two consecutive days these guests must be approved by the property manager.  If you want to add a new guest that was not on the original lease, prior to them staying with you contact the property manager and follow all lease terms and procedures.
  • Does Rent Right run my credit or do a background check?
    • Yes, we work with credit reporting agencies and perform a soft pull on the principal tenant’s credit.  As we will review the tenant’s criminal, eviction, and other history during the application process.  This information is kept secure at all times and is reviewed for acceptance to stay at the property you are applying for.
  • Can I transfer between properties?
    • Yes, this absolutely can be arranged.  As long as the calendar is open for the property you want to transfer to just speak with your property manager.  There may be a difference in monthly costs or refundable deposits based on the specific properties.
  • Are pets allowed at the property?
    • Every property has different rules on if pets are allowed or not.  Check with that specific property or ask your property manager.  Should you bring a pet that is not allowed or made known prior to beginning your lease, you will be assessed $400 fine that is due immediately.
  • Can I have mail or packages delivered to the property?
    • Often times yes, but check with your specific property or property manager.  We do recommend using offsite mail or package delivery locations to ensure privacy and security for all future and past tenants.  Places like UPS locations with mail delivery boxes can be rented to receive any and all letters or packages.  Companies like Amazon offer delivery to many convenient locker locations that are the most secure way to receive your purchases.  Rent Right and the affiliated property managers are not liable for any lost or stolen mail or deliveries.
  • Will I need to meet with a property manager to move in and get keys?
    • Most properties offer self-move in with digital electronic locks.  This means you can arrive when you want and there is no need to get the keys.  You also don’t need to keep track of any keys during our stay.  You will have a personalized door code to access the property to come and go as you please.  Depending on the property there may be a hard key needed to access amenities of the property, like a pool or laundry.  This will be coordinated after your move in or left at the property for your use.
  • Do I need to clean the property before I leave?
    • Yes, all properties need to be cleaned prior to moving out.  Even though a cleaning fee is paid.  Each property needs to have all trash or items not in the property prior to your move in removed.  If there are any extra messes, strong odors, or items moved from their original locations these are considered outside of a normal use cleaning.  The cost to resolve these issues will be assessed from the security deposit.
